A date with my baby

My in turns loving, affectionate, articulate, recalcitrant, stubborn, argumentative – my husband says he takes after me šŸ™‚ – 15-year-old younger son is in the middle of his mock GCSE exams. He told me out of the blue the other day that he has no exams this coming Wednesday and if I’d like us to do something together for a few hours that day given I’m having my big operation on Saturday, he’ll take some time out of revising.

Now how thougClapham_Picturehousehtful is that? I nearly cried.

So the boy who will always be my baby – who’s already way taller than I am abodeans bbqnd nearly twice as broad – and I have planned a midday trip to the cinema followed by a late lunch of chicken and ribs.

Sounds like the perfect afternoon.
